Attorney makes atrazine presentation to council
Staff writer
Hillsboro City Council met Tuesday with attorney Cary McDougal of Baron and Budd, P.C., regarding the city’s involvement in a class-action lawsuit against Syngenta, maker of atrazine.
The council met with McDougal in closed session for an hour to discuss matters protected by attorney-client privilege.
Before closed session, McDougal said he had a presentation that would require 30 to 40 minutes, and he would take questions afterward.
McDougal; Mayor Delores Dalke; council members Shelby Dirks, Byron McCarty, Kevin Suderman, and Bob Watson; and City Administrator Larry Paine were in the closed session.
The council took no action on return to open session.
