Bartel, Unruh sixth at CKL Tournament

On April 29, the Hillsboro High School boys tennis team competed at the Central Kansas League Boys Tennis Tournament in Pratt.

The Trojans finished in seventh place and were led by the doubles team of Noah Bartel and Aidan Unruh.

Bartel and Unruh went 1-2 on the day for sixth place at No. 1 doubles. The test  responded from a first-round loss with a 9-6 win over Haven.

Henry Hein also finished sixth at No. 2 singles. Hein dropped a close first-round match by a score of 6-4, 6-3 before getting a bye into the fifth-place match.

Hein fell to Micah Tatro of Pratt, 9-2, to claim sixth.

Ethan Plenert competed for Hillsboro at No. 1 singles, and the duo of Bryce Rader and Josiah Jost competed for the Trojans at No. 2 doubles.

Hillsboro travels to Hesston on Friday to compete in regionals.
