Betty Manka

Services for Peabody resident Betty Darlene Manka, 74, who died Jan. 18, were Saturday. Burial will be at a later date in Peabody Cemetery.

Born Nov. 26, 1945, to Frederick and Blanche Scott McAlister in Burlington, she lived there and in Lebo most of her life.

She married Roy Manka on Feb. 14, 2001.

She is survived by daughters Robin Massek and Barbara Bigger, both of Topeka; sister Chris Hlad, Newton; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Her husband preceded her in death along with her parents, brothers, Donald and Roy McAlister, and a great-grandson.

Memorials have been established with Alzheimer’s Association or Seaman Baptist Church of Topeka.
