Bill Keith

VFW Post 6958 quartermaster William E. “Bill” Keith, 66, died Saturday at St. Luke Hospital.

A celebration-of-life reception will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Cottonwood Point at Marion Reservoir. Inurnment will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at Marion Cemetery.

Born Jan. 1, 1949, in Wichita, he was a Marine during the Vietnam War and worked in management at Boeing.

He married Charmaine A. Cremeen on Oct. 1, 1971. She preceded him in death. A sister, Linda Olson, also preceded him.

He is survived by a son, Jess Keith of Wichita; two daughters, Fawn Keith of Wichita and Ida French of Marion; brothers Larry Keith of Wichita and Marvin Keith of Vinita, Oklahoma; and two grandchildren.

A memorial fund has been established for the VFW.
