Bina wins again
The Hillsboro High School wrestling team finished sixth out of eight teams Friday at the Hoisington Cardinal Wrestling Tournament
Aaron Bina continued a run of strong wrestling performances by winning the 160-pound weight class. He is now 22-6 on the year.
“Aaron was only really tested in one match all day,” coach Scott O’Hare said.
Justin King and Dylan Delk turned in runner-up performances in the 145-pound and 171-pound weight classes, respectively. King is 20-9 and Delk is 17-7 for the season.
“Justin did not give up a point all day until his last match of the evening,” O’Hare said.
Darren Mueller placed third in the 125-pound class, improving to 19-12.
Tanner Jones finished fourth in the 152-pound class. He is 13-11 on the year.
“This tournament was a very good test for the guys,” O’Hare said. “Everyone got four or five matches in a about a five-hour time frame. It is a real test of stamina along with mental and physical toughness.”
