NORTHWEST OF DURHAM:   Birthdays celebrated with picnic

Roy and Nadine Davis held a picnic supper Thursday at their home for Rick and LaVae Koehn and boys, and Gary and Crystal Davis and Carly to celebrate LaVae and Ethan’s 5th birthdays.

Clayton and Betty Wiebe went to Moundridge Manor on Wednesday afternoon for a National Nursing Week open house.

Calvin and Janene Wiebe invited Jason and Sheri Wiebe and family, Rebecca Peachy, Katie Schmidt, and Jessica Martens to be their dinner guests Sunday.

Warren and Anita Unruh Nathan, Kyle, and Jenna, Mark and Barb Unruh, and Ron and Dora Unruh were among those that attended commencement and reception activities Saturday afternoon in Hillsboro.

Roy and Nadine Davis, Ken and Shelli Giesbrecht, and Chet and Mellissa Boehs held a progressive supper Saturday evening. They all met at the Giesbrechts and walked to each others homes. At the Davis home, appetizers were served, then the main meal was served at the Boehs home. Dessert was enjoyed at the Giesbrecht home. Those who also attended were Nelson and Bev Wiebe, Jordon, and Jacob, Katie Unruh, Katie Schmidt, Heath and Tannis Dirks and Jackson, and Larry and Wanda Koehn.

Nelson and Bev Wiebe and family, Clayton and Betty Wiebe and Loretta and some of the youth went to Wheatland Country School on Friday night near Moundridge for the closing program of the school year. A program on Kansas was presented by the children.

Warren Unruh and Jenna stopped by the Ron Unruh home for a short visit Sunday evening.
