Goessel High School senior Paige Booton signed a letter of intent last week to attend Tabor College and play volleyball this coming fall for the Bluejays.
Booton, an outside hitter, was a team leader in hitting, serving, and receiving for the Bluebirds. In the 2011 season, she had 294 attacks-kills, 31 serving aces, and 255 digs, according to MaxPreps statistics online.
“Paige is just a very good fundamental player,” Goessel volleyball coach Crysta Guhr said. “She will definitely be an asset for the program.”
Booton selected Tabor from several Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference offers and plans to study education. Kelly and Jill Booton, rural Goessel, are her parents.
