Brandon Gillett

Brandon Wade Gillett, 42, of Dallas, Texas, passed away Feb. 20 in Dallas.

He was born June 19, 1975, to Bob and Debbie (Franta) Gillett in Hillsboro, Kansas. He graduated from Centre High School and then Kansas State University with a degree in construction management. While at K-State, he was an active member of Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity. He moved to Dallas after graduation and began his career at TDIndustries, where he worked until his death.

He loved being outdoors, sporting events, spending time with his friends and family, and most of all, his daughters, Aubrey and Kinley. He was married for nearly eight years to Kari Witherspoon, formerly of Lincoln, Nebraska. Although their time together was too brief, they made a lifetime of memories.

He is survived by his parents, wife and children; brother and best friend Sean Gillett and wife, Angela, of Ankeny, Iowa; niece and nephew Lauren Romero and Logan Gillett; grandmother Irmagene Goodman; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins; and too many friends to count.

A memorial service will be at 11a.m. Saturday, March 10, at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, Holy Family Parish, Pilsen, Kansas. A Rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. Friday, also at Pilsen.

Memorial gifts may be given to the family for college funds for Aubrey and Kinley. Other donations can be made to the AIM at Melanoma Foundation in memory of Brandon. Online condolences can be left for the family at www.zeinerfuneralhomes.com.

A celebration of life will be held in Dallas at a later time.
