Trucker, equipment operator, and woodworker Gerald Gene Brinkman, 69, died July 23 at his home in Peabody.
Services were Saturday at Peabody United Methodist Church. Petersen Funeral Home, Newton, was in charge.
Born July 25, 1944, in Gas City to Frank and Dorothy (Beeman) Brinkman, he married Luba Holm in 1983.
She survives along with sons James Brinkman of Chanute and Richard Holm of Peabody; daughters Annette Ferrell of Dallas, Deborah Pusateri of Wichita, Elizabeth Snelling of Augusta, Traci Gehrke of Wichita, and Alisa Holm-McDowell of Peabody; 17 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
His parents, brother Robert Brinkman and sons Frank Brinkman and George Holm preceded him in death.
A memorial fund has been established with Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice and Peabody Senior Center.
