Brunner improves rodeo record

Tanner Brunner of Ramona finished the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas in fifth place earlier this month.

He had top-six finishes in several events, including third place in his final run, wrestling a steer down in 3.9 seconds.

“I had a lot of fun, and I’m glad I could have some success,” he said.

His earnings of $174,746 for the year put him in ninth place in world standings.

The 2022 rodeo year ended in September, and Brunner is already competing in rodeos for 2023. His next professional rodeo will be in Denver.
