Lisa Marie Buchholz and Ryan Jeffrey Beasley of Bonner Springs announce their engagement. They will be married May 4 at Marion Presbyterian Church.

Marlin and Debbie Buchholz of Marion are the parents of the bride-elect. Jeff and Sherry Beasley of Lockeford, Calif., are the parents of the future groom.

Buchholz graduated from Marion High School in 1999 and received a doctorate in pharmacy from the University of Kansas in 2006. She is a pharmacist for Price Chopper.

Beasley graduated from Lodi High School in Lodi, Calif., in 1993 and from the University of Missouri. He is a firefighter and emergency medical technician in Kansas City, Kan.
