Burns residents burgled

Staff writer

A man and woman pretending to do work roofing shingles stole property from two Burns residencies last Wednesday.

Between the two, about $550 was stolen — $450 at one home, and about $80 plus checks, personal identification, and cameras in the other.

The pair would offer home repair service, and while one of the workers distracted the customer outside, the other would use an excuse to go inside the house.

The perpetrator inside then took as much as possible, including victim’s purses and billfolds.

The Marion County Sheriff’s office has yet to find the perpetrators.
