The Lehigh owner of a business that formerly operated in Goessel and now operates in Newton has agreed to pay $64,424 to settle a consumer protection investigation.
Kansas attorney general’s office filed June 11 a consent judgment with Terrence J. Rohleder and Mid-America Opportunity Research Enterprises Inc.
Rohleder, president of MORE, lives at Lehigh. The company formerly operated at Goessel and now operates at Newton. Under the consent judgment, Rohleder and MORE will pay $10,000 civil penalty and $54,424 investigative fee.
According to the Better Business Bureau, MORE is a multi-level sales and direct-mail advertising company offering a variety of work-at-home opportunities. BBB gives MORE an F rating.
The attorney general’s office alleges that MORE misled or misrepresented itself.
MORE denied the allegation, but agreed to pay the penalty and investigation fees and to change its practices.
