Businesses host ‘Trick-or-Treat Main’

Trick-or-Treat Main St. is scheduled for 5 to 6:30 p.m. Oct. 31 in Hillsboro.

Streets will be blocked off to create a safe environment for trick-or-treaters.

Hillsboro Chamber of Commerce is asking for treat or money donations for treats from businesses not located in the Main St. area that still want to participate. Those donations will be made into small treat bags and given away at the chamber office.

Chamber office manager Pam Riesen said the chamber gave away more than 250 candy bags at the event last year.

“It helps parents who don’t know where to take their kids and want somewhere they can all be together, safe, and easy to keep track of,” she said.
