7 p.m. — Women’s Christmas crafts night, Scout House, Hillsboro.

7 p.m. — Hillsboro State Bank Giving Tree applications are due. All applicants must be 17 years of age or younger to receive gifts.

7 p.m. — Down Home Christmas Concert with David Vogel featuring Tabor Chamber voices. Cheesecake and coffee after. Tickets are $15 each with all proceeds benefiting the Community Splash pad project.

saturday

9 a.m. — A Down Home Christmas in Hillsboro. Shopping opportunities, children’s activities, Santa visiting at Et Cetera shop, tours at the Schaeffler house, lunch at the city building, kid’s prizes, bowling coupons.

10 a.m. — Santa visits Marion City Library. Bring your letters to Santa. Children’s crafts will be available.

6 p.m. — Christmas Dinner Party. Dinner and live music, $50 per person. Historic Elgin Hotel, Marion.

6:30 p.m. — Santa visits Florence Public Library. Hot cocoa and treats will be served for children.

sunday

1 p.m. — Marion Community Christmas open house. Shop local business, take the Christmas Home tours and enjoy a day of fun in Marion.

1 p.m. — Christmas Home tours. Get your tickets at Marion City Library.

6 p.m. — Christmas lights at the lake. Drive-through light displays at Marion County Park and Lake. Santa will be there to speak with children and hand out candy canes.

monday

6:30 p.m. — Santa visits Marion City Library. Bring your letters to Santa, listen to Christmas stories and enjoy hot cocoa.

7 p.m. — Centre High School Winter Concert, 7th through 12th grades.

Dec. 6

7 p.m. — Peabody Elementary School Christmas program. Brown Gym, Peabody-Burns High School.

7:15 p.m. — Modified Yoga class, Hillsboro City Hall.
