Cathy McClure

Services are pending for Mary Catherine “Cathy” McClure, who died April 13 at Newton Medical Center.

She was born Dec. 19, 1949, to Max and Geneva (Stovall) Stacy.

She married Jay McClure Dec. 31, 1970. He preceded her in death.

Cathy worked at various places including S/V Tools in Newton, Barkman Honey, and Hillsboro industries in Hillsboro. Cathy and Jay raised emus at their home in Aulne.

In 1985, Cathy and Jay remodeled and opened the Dari-Ette in Hillsboro, then the Dari Place in Marion.

Cathy is survived by son Rick McClure-Burgen; daughter Karen Fryhover; two grandchildren; brother Max Stacy; and sister Morna Rochelle.

A memorial fund for Abigail Fryhover’s education has been established in care of Jost Funeral Home P.O. Box 266 Hillsboro, KS 67063.
