Centre approves 2% raise

Centre School District employees will receive a 2% raise next year.

The school board voted last week to agree to a negotiated contract that also will add $450 for certified teachers who cannot advance on the district’s pay scale.

The school day for certified teachers will be from 7:45 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. Other provisions increased pay for being junior class sponsor by 3%.

The board also approved a 2% raise for other staff members.
