Sophomores Elias Jirak, Tyler Nickel, and Cameron Spohn are returning to this year’s golf team at Centre with experience under their belts. The same can be said of their new coach, Max Venable. Venable is the new school counselor.

Venable plays golf “when time permits,” he said. His first experience at coaching was with the girls’ team last fall.

“We have a promising group of young men looking to improve their individual abilities and support one another as teammates,” Venable said.

Their first meet is April 5 at Hillsboro.
