Centre FFA surpasses blood drive goal
The Centre FFA chapter hosted its fall blood drive Nov. 20 with the American Red Cross.
FFA members recruited blood donors to help in building up the blood supply, which was and still is critically low due to national natural disasters throughout the country that caused scheduled blood drives to be canceled, adviser Laura Klenda said.
The goal was set at 23 units, and with community support and involvement, 27 units were collected.
“Thank you to all those who came to donate and all those who helped to make the drive a success,” Klenda said.
The next scheduled blood drive will be April 17.
