Centre wins in entomology

Eighteen Centre FFA members competed Saturday in the South Central District entomology event at Kingman.

Competitors had to identify 50 insects and take an exam over insect parts, insect facts, and potential integrated pest management.

The senior team and greenhand team both placed first overall.

Top placers on the senior team were Karsen Kroupa, 1st; Leah Brunner, 2nd; Allie Stuchlik, 5th; Julia Brunner, 6th; Alex Snowden, 7th; and Bradley Alexander, 8th.

Top placers on the greenhand team were Hayley Whiteley, 1st; Kaitlynn Bina, 2nd; and Robert Spohn, 10th.
