Child care providers earn service awards
Several Marion County child care providers were honored with awards for their years of service while attending a Child Care Providers Coalition of Kansas conference on April 18 in McPherson.
Shawn Wunderlick of Marion received a plaque for 38 years as a family child care provider.
Hillsboro resident Debbie Jensen received a light green heart for 28 years of service, and a bronze heart for having an associate’s degree in early childhood education.
Hearts were attached to a house pin, which is the symbol of the CCPC organization.
Barb Kaiser of Lincolnville and Deb Regier of Peabody both received light green hearts for 26 years of providing child care.
Donna Kreutziger of Marion received a light blue heart for 15 years of child care.
Peabody resident Janine Foth also received a light blue heart for her 15 years of service. She also received a bronze plaque for her associate’s degree in early childhood education.
