Chili cook-off will be Oct. 5

Marion County Park and Lake will have its seventh annual chili cook-off from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Oct. 5 outside the lake hall.

Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three entries, as voted on by members of the public. An entry is two to three gallons of chili and requires a $15 fee.

Tasting kits will be available to the public for $5.

There will also be a corn-hole tournament. Both events are fundraisers for the lake.
