Christine Sue (Lies) Combs died April 5 at Via Christi— St. Francis in Wichita.

She was born Sept. 15, 1951, to John and Shirley (Orth) Lies in Wichita, and graduated from Andale High School.

She married Michael James Combs on Oct. 15, 1971, and they moved from Wichita to Lincolnville in 1980, where he farmed and she became director of nursing at Marion Manor nursing home. She also worked at St. Luke Hospital, Hillsboro hospital, and Marion home health agency.

Survivors include husband Michael Combs; mother Shirley Lies; sons Patrick Combs of Marion and Martin Combs of Lincolnville; daughters Jill Meier of Hillsboro, Michelle Conrad of Paxico, Stephanie Haws of Herington, and Heather Combs of Lincolnville; and nine grandchildren.

A funeral service was Saturday at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church in Pilsen. Interment was in Pilsen Cemetery.

Memorials have been established with St. Luke Hospital Auxiliary.
