The estate of Jody L. Potter dismissed a suit Aug. 27 against the estate of Nathan D. Puett. Court records do not disclose any settlement amount. The suit stemmed from a Feb. 26, 2021, wreck on US-56 in which Puett’s 2021 Dodge Grand Caravan veered across the centerline and crashed head-on into a westbound 2000 Ford F-150 driven by James L. Potter, 70, Emporia. The Ford caught fire. Puett and both of the Potters died at the scene. Puett’s children, Aspyn J. Goldsberry, 5, and Jensen D. Tomkinson, 3, both of Salina, were passengers in the Dodge. They were pulled from the Dodge by witnesses and taken by ambulance to Wesley Medical Center, Wichita.
