Clarine Jones

Clarine R. Jones, 81, of Herington, died Aug. 27 at her home.

Born Jan. 14, 1928, in Herington to Peter and Clara (Schaaf) Diepenbrock, she was married July 19, 1950, to Lorenzo Jones in Bento County, Ark.

She graduated from Herington High School in 1945 and the Wesley School of Nursing in 1949, and worked as a registered nurse in Anchorage, Alaska; Long Beach, Calif.; and Seattle before returning to Herington.

Her husband, parents, and a brother, Milton Diepenbrock, preceded her in death.

Survivors include three sons, Lynn Jones of Chapman, Bruce Jones of Blair, Neb., and Rusty Jones of Herington; a sister, Elinor Remy of Burdick; a brother, Harold Diepenbrock of Herington; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Services were Saturday at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Herington. The Rev. Bill Peterson officiated. Burial followed at the Sunset Hill Cemetery.
