Clark descendents hold reunion
The 11th reunion of the descendants of Mac and Clarice Clark met Oct. 3 at Burns Community Center.
Forty-four family members participated in a carry-in dinner. Larry Clark of the Glenn Clark family conducted the program and business meeting. Everyone introduced himself or herself and told about their families.
Tickets were distributed for drawings to win table decorations. Photos were taken of Will and George Clark and Hester (Clark) Gillet.
Those attending from the Will Clark family were Larry and Pat Clark of Colorado; Dick and Glenys Kitching, Shirley and Phil Morgan, and Cecil Clark of Missouri; Virgil Clark, Phil and Gail Topham, and Charlie and Kay Clark of Burns; Clyde and Virginia Waggy, Jean Knausman, and Karla and Trey Daron of El Dorado; Roger and Leslie Runnels of Newton; and Cecil and Linda Lane of Lebo.
Attending from the George Clark family were Joyce Barker of Wichita; Bill and Marie Clark, Katie, and Patrick Todd, Isabelle Gordon, and Joanne Clark of El Dorado; Margaret Matz of Peabody; Norma Riggs of Marion; Marie Clark and Marvin and Sherry Nightengale of Burns; and Larry and Diana Nelson of Cassoday.
Hester (Clark) Gillet family members in attendance were LaVonne Ammeter of Florence, Blaine and Carol Ammeter of Ellinwood, Steve and Melody Magette of Dodge City, Myron and Sally Ammeter of Manhattan, and Stanley Ammeter of Burns.
The George Clark family will plan the next reunion in two years.
