Classical guitarist Elizabeth Busch, who has delighted national audiences with her stage presence, personality, and masterful musicianship, will present a program of Spanish and Latin American music from her new CD, “Romance de la Guitarra,” at 4 p.m. Sunday in the Wohlgemuth Music Education Center at Tabor College, Hillsboro.

Admission is free and the public is invited to attend.

Busch, who lives in Los Angeles, Calif., began studying classical guitar at the age of seven. She gained international attention in 1999 when she won the Lakewood Sister Cities Music Scholar Exchange Program competition, earning an opportunity to perform Rodrigo’s Concierto de Aranjuez with the Chester Philharmonic, in England.

Busch received her bachelor’s of music from Colorado Christian University, Lakewood, Colo., and her master’s of music from the University of Southern California (studying under William Kanengiser). Busch also studied in master classes with Christopher Parkening, Ricardo Iznaola, and Pepe Romero.

In addition to being an excellent performer, Busch is a skillful and dedicated teacher. She has been teaching classical and folk guitar since 2000, both privately and as a teaching assistant at USC.
