Cleora McClaskey

Services for Cleora Pearl McClaskey, 84, Marion, and formerly of McPherson, who died Friday at Via Christi St. Francis, Wichita, will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at McPherson Cemetery.

Born May 6, 1936, in Washington County to Frances and Russell Hicks, Cleora graduated from Agenda High School in 1954.

She married John Phillip McClaskey on May 27, 1956, in Agenda, and they moved to McPherson in 1958.

Through the years she worked as a bank teller, bookkeeper, office receptionist, and co-owned a business with husband John and son Mike.

She is survived by children Susy Gullett of Camdenton, Missouri, and Michael McClaskey of McPherson; siblings Priscilla Phillips of Salina, and Kenneth Hicks of Marion, Texas; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Son Martin, husband John, sister Wanda Bowman, and brothers Lyle and George Hicks preceded her in death.

Memorials have been established with St. Luke Auxiliary Shoppe and Marion Senior Center.
