Heidi Thurston and Rachel Olsen will teach a holiday cookie decorating class through Hillsboro Recreation Commission 1 to 2:30 p.m. Dec. 14 in the West Room at Hillsboro City Hall.

Participant ages 14 and up will decorate and take home eight Christmas cookies.

They will learn how to outline and flood with royal icing, as well as wet-on-wet and piping techniques. All ingredients and supplies will be provided, but all participants have to bring their own rimmed cookie sheets.

Anyone interested can go to the rec commission’s website to register by Nov. 29. The class costs $25 and there is a limit of 10 participants.
