The Goessel Senior Center hosted a Halloween party. Notable costumes included motorcycle mama, Queen of England, Spiderman, Farmer Brown, Bobbette, a clown, Little Red Ridinghood, and Santa.
Marion County Department on Aging Coordinator Gayla Ratzlaff explained Medicare Part D to senior center visitors Thursday. Ratzlaff will return 9:30 a.m. Thursday to discuss more health care issues.
On Tuesday, there was a birthday celebration and Marion County Health Department gave out flu shots from 3 to 5 p.m.
Jenny Shipman, from the Alzheimer’s Association of Wichita will be at the center today.
On Nov. 17, the center will host a Thanksgiving Dinner prepared by the Hillsboro center. Visitors are encouraged to sign up by Nov. 11 if they plan to attend.
The center will be closed for Thanksgiving, Nov. 24 and 25. Those who need meals for those two days can call in advance, at least by 1 p.m. Nov. 22, and the meals will be delivered Nov. 23.
