The Pete Koehn family got together June 3 through 5 at Morning Star Ranch near Florence. About 100 relatives attended. The Larry Koehn family from the area and Tom and Sara Penner and family of Swan River, Manitoba, and Amy Koehn of Brooksville, Miss., attended the family function. The Penners stayed through June 7 and then returned home to Canada.

Morning Star Church had a Bible school program June 5.

Dinner guests of Clayton and Betty Wiebe on June 5 were Darrin and Meri Kay Rhodes and family and Jarold and Rhonda Koehn and family.

Kaitlin Unruh was home for a few days the week of June 6 to help on the farm.

Jana Wiebe, who has been teaching in California, came home June 7 to spend the summer with her family, the Merlin Wiebes.

Betty Wiebe took Edith Warkentin to spend the day, June 3, in Abilene. They went to antique shops and ate dinner out.

Ruston and Lydia Dirks had Merlin and Karletta Wiebe and Janesa, Ransom and Lillian Wiebe, Bruce and Cheryl Dirks, Calla Wengar, and former teacher Marci Salsbury as their dinner guests June 5.

John Decker died May 31 at Kansas Christian Home in Newton. He lived in the community before moving to Newton four years ago. Burial was at Peace Valley Cemetery and services were at Jost Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
