The wedding of Darren Enns and Corina Neufeld took place July 30 at Garden Park Mennonite Brethren Church in Denver. He is the grandson of Ron and Dora Unruh. Leaving for Denver July 29, were Ron and Dora, Mark and Barb Unruh and Sarah, and Warren and Anita Unruh Nathan, Kyle, and Jenna. Everyone returned home Aug. 2 and 3 after spending a few days in the Colorado Springs area. The couple will make their new home in Hesston.
Dinner guests of Roy and Nadine Davis Aug. 7 were Rick and LaVae Koehn and Tim Davis, who also spent the weekend in the Davis home.
Enjoying dinner Aug. 7 in the home of Ransom and Lillian Wiebe were Wayne and Grace Wenger, Dalhart, Texas, who had come to visit their daughter Calla who works at the restaurant in Durham. Other guests were Calla, Keala Smith, Ken and Sandy Wiebe, Bruce and Cheryl Dirks, Merlin and Karletta Wiebe, Jana and Janea.
Betty Wiebe’s sister Mae Wedel, 74, died Aug. 4 in Phoenix. The Wiebes and Travis and Sharon Koehn drove out for the memorial service on Aug. 8. Nelson and Betty Wiebe, Wayne and Lora Lee Wiebe, and Calvin and Janene Wiebe flew on Aug. 6 and returned home Aug. 9.
Harry and Sheryl Rhodes took care of Calvin Wiebe’s children while their parents were gone for the memorial service for their aunt Mae Wedel in Arizona.
Houseguests of Richard and Kathy Dirks Aug. 3 through 8 were Kathy’s sister Betty Garrard and her husband Wayne of Albuquerque, N.M. On Aug. 5 and 6, they attended the McPherson High School alumni activities and banquet.
On Aug. 9, Roy and Nadine Davis drove with Eileen Davis to Clarksdale, Miss., where Eileen will live. She will work at a bakery. Roy and Nadine returned home Thursday.
Kaitlin Unruh flew to Cryogen, N.Y., on July 25 where she attended the wedding of her friend Jackie Shaw July 30. While there, she got to do some sightseeing in New York City. She returned home Aug. 1.
