Seniors attend Christmas program

Durham senior citizens met Dec. 15 for a Christmas dinner and program. Twenty-four people attended with USD 410 Superintendent Steve Noble providing the program. Helen Riadon led exercises and talked about the benefits of staying active.

Cheryl Dirks and Bethany Wiebe joined other relatives Dec. 18 at the home of their mother, Verna Smith, near Hutchinson. They decorated gingerbread houses.

Ransom and Lillian Wiebe had their grandson, Randy Unruh, and his wife, Laura, of California, as houseguests Sunday through Tuesday. They also visited Randy’s sister, Rebecca Thompson, and her family.

Houseguests of Roy and Nadine Davis on Saturday were Leland and Neidra Davis of Texas. On Sunday, they had a gathering at the school. Guests for a basket dinner were Roy and Nadine Davis and Eileen; Richard and Charlotte Wiebe; Marlin and Bethany Wiebe; Dalton and Lorna Wiebe and family; Troy and Marla Wiebe and family; Harold Davis; Tim Davis; LaVae Koehn and foster boys; and Leland and Neidra, who left Sunday afternoon for Buhl, Idaho.

Katelin Unruh graduated Dec. 11 from Kansas State University with a degree in animal science. Attending graduation with her were Mark and Barb Unruh and Sarah, Ron and Dora Unruh, Brenda Enns, and Kyle Unruh. They ate lunch together before the ceremony at 1:30 p.m.

Larry and Wanda Koehn invited Beth Koehn, Sarah Peachy, Charla Nightengale, and Chelisa Koehn as dinner guests Dec. 12.

Eating dinner Dec. 12 at the home of Clayton and Betty Wiebe were Nelson and Bev Wiebe and family, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Koehn, Tyson Hiebert, and Lillian Wiebe.

Roy and Nadine Davis visited Charlotte Wiebe on Dec. 11 at Newton Medical Center.

Lola Redger hosted a birthday dinner for her family and friends of Ray on Dec. 11 in honor of Ray’s birthday.

Errol Wedel of Arizona stayed Dec. 13 through 15 at the home of Clayton and Betty Wiebe. He attended meetings Dec. 14.

Guests in the home of Bruce and Cheryl Dirks on Dec. 12 were Doyle and Kara Wiebe and family, Jarold and Rhonda Koehn and family, Teresa Wiebe, and Marlin and Bethany Wiebe.
