Dinner guests Sept. 26 in the home of Roy and Nadine Davis were Travis and Sharon Koehn and family, Ruston and Lydia Dirks, and Chaniel and Anna Toews.
There was a minister and deacons meeting Sept. 25 at Morning Star Church. About 200 people from several states attended. The women of the church served lunch at noon.
Lola Redger met her family Sept. 18 in Newton and they went to Wichita Mountain lodge in Medicine Park, Okla., for the annual Nightingale family gathering. They also participated in activities the following day before returning home.
Jason and Sheri Wiebe adopted Julie from Haiti on Sept. 22. The following day, the family hosted a supper in her honor. Guests were Mark and Kris Wiebe and family, Merlin and Karletta Wiebe, Ransom and Lillian Wiebe, and Brian and Rebecca Thomas and children.
Ron and Dora Unruh attended the 60th wedding anniversary celebration of Ron’s uncle and aunt, Jay and Luella Burkhart on Sept. 25 at the Nazarene church in Newton.
Mike and Mich Rhodes and family of Bradley, Ark., arrived Sept. 24 at the home of their parents, Harry and Sheryl Rhodes. The next day, the Rhodes hosted a supper in their honor. Guests were Calvin and Janene Wiebe and family, Ken and Michelle Giesbrecht and Taylor, and Darrin and Meri Kay Rhodes and family.
Clayton and Betty Wiebe and Larry and Wanda Koehn took dinner to the home of Duane and Louise Razlaff on Sept. 26. Tim Davis was a guest.

Durham Senior Citizens met Sept. 22 for a potluck supper at the community building. Gene and Wanda West hosted the evening for 24 people.
