Wedels visit family in California

Wendell and Linda Wedel left Dec. 24 to spend time with their daughter and son-in-law, Maria and Newt Jantz, and family, in Livingston, Calif. They returned home Jan. 2.

Doyle and Kara Wiebe and family left Dec. 22 to visit their parents, Ken and Sandy Wiebe, in Sarasota, Fla. Teresa Wiebe also visited during the week as well as the Arden Wiebe family of Texas. Doyle and Kara returned home Jan. 2.

Seventy-eight members of the Harry Wedel family met Dec. 23 at a restaurant for a meal and to visit.

Roy and Nadine Davis invited the Earl Toews family of Lobbelville, Tenn., Cynthia Toews of Mexico, Anna Toews, and Harry and Sheryl Rhodes as dinner guests Dec. 26. Anna left Dec. 28 for Hardin, Mont., where she will teach.

Ron and Dora Unruh and Mark and Barb Unruh and Sarah joined the Duerksen family gathering Dec. 29 at Goessel. A potluck meal was served. The Rudy and Eulalia Schroeder family hosted.

Tom and Sara Penner and family of Canada and Christopher and Denise Schrock of Kidron, Ohio, visited their parents, Larry and Wanda Koehn, Dec. 23 and stayed 10 days in the area. Amy Koehn of Brooksville, Miss., arrived Christmas Eve and returned home Jan. 1. On Christmas Day, Travis and Sharon Koehn and family and Dalton and Lorna Wiebe and family joined them for dinner. The Dayton Unruh family had a potluck dinner Dec. 26 at the school. Richard and Starla Harms and family of Liberty, Ky., were some of the out-of-state guests who went on to Montezuma to visit. On Dec. 29, the Koehns and their houseguests, as well as the Dalton Wiebe and Travis Koehn families, were supper guests of Lena Koehn in Newton. Larry and Wanda, the Tom Penner family, and Christopher and Denise were dinner guests Jan. 2 of Jarold and Rhonda Koehn.

Hiram and Rhonda Wedel of Bloomfield, Iowa, arrived Dec. 28 at the Roy Davis home for a belated Christmas. Roy and Nadine hosted a potluck supper in their honor. Rick and LaVae Koehn and sons joined them Dec. 29 for a family Christmas. The Greg Wedel and Rick Koehn families joined them for supper. Hiram and Rhonda left for their home Jan. 1.

Ron and Dora Unruh hosted a belated family Christmas on Jan. 2. Family members who attended included Jim and Brenda Enns and Lisa Enns of Seattle, Wash.; Darren Enns and Corina Neufeld; David and Ashley Enns and family; Lon and Deb Hiebert and Matt; Mark and Barb Unruh, Kaitlin, and Sarah; and Warren and Anita Unruh, Nathan, Kyle, and Jenna.
