Rhodes family welcomes new baby

Mike and Mich Rhodes announce the birth of their daughter, Lindsay Jo, Jan. 21 at Newton Medical Center. She weighed 7 pounds and 4 ounces. She was welcomed home by her sister, Madison, and her brother, Carson. Mich’s parents, Raymond and Ethelene Unruh came to help Jan. 22 to become acquainted with their new granddaughter. They left Jan. 25 for their home in Bradley, Ark. Local family includes grandparents Harry and Sheryl Rhodes and great-grandparents Harry and Lela Wedel.
Wendell and Linda Wedel went to the home of Travis and Connie Becker on Jan 22 in Halsted for supper. They celebrated their grandson, Garrett’s, fourth birthday. Other guests were Garrett’s grandparents, the Dean Beckers.
Morning Star Church has been hosting a young men’s instruction class, which started Jan. 17 for two weeks. On Jan. 23, a basket dinner was hosted at the church. Sixteen students attended from Canada, Texas, and Michigan.
