Families meet for church, dinner

Bruce and Cheryl Dirks picked up Melvin and Vera Dirks at Moundridge Manor and attended service Jan. 30 at Morning Star Church. They were dinner guests at the home of Bruce Dirks. Other guests were Brad and Joyce Dirks, Stuart and Lea Isaac and Kyle and his friend Landon Schmidt of Michigan, Ruston and Lydia Dirks and Chaniel, Marlin and Bethany Wiebe, and Kristen Schneider.
Roy and Nadine Davis had Tim Davis as a guest Jan. 30.
Chet and Melissa Boehs welcomed daughter Kaylynn Joy on Jan. 27 at Salina Medical Center. She weighed 7 pounds and 5 ounces. Melissa’s sister, Jenny, of Georgia, came to help.
Overnight guests the week of Jan. 17 at the Larry Koehn home were Josh Toews of Dewberry, Alberta, and Brandon Friesen of Edberg, Alberta. During the week of Jan. 24, Dwight Unruh of Murray, Ky., and Abe Toews of St. Marys, Ontario, stayed a few nights. Dinner guests in the Koehn home Jan. 30 were four teachers — Arlyn and Carlyn Wiebe, Gary Davis, and Logan Wiebe of Stettler, Alberta.
Richard and Kathy Dirks celebrated Richard’s birthday by eating out Jan. 27 in Galva with Delton and Roberta Ollenburger of Moundridge and Eddie Ollenburger of Hillsboro.
