Pankratz remembered

A memorial service was held April 11 at the Durham Baptist Church for Paul Pankratz, who died April 6.

Larry and Wanda Koehn left March 30 to visit their children Tim and Shelia Koehn and family in Zimbabwe, Africa. They returned April 13.

Kindergarten students Landon Wiebe, Joel Unruh, and Deryk Unruh presented a program April 15 for parents and grandparents. Parents of the students are Wayne and Loralee Wiebe, Marcel and Wendy Unruh, and Mitchell and Carol Unruh, respectively.

Stuart and Lea Isaac hosted a benefit supper for the school April 17 at their home in Hillsboro. Guests included Clayton and Betty Wiebe; Richard and Charlotte Wiebe, Caryln, and Aryln; Gary Davis; and Travis and Sharon Koehn and family.

Bruce and Cheryl Dirks and Harold and Charlene Unruh had supper April 14 at the home of Charlene Becker in Galva.

Jaraine Redger has been a patient at the Heart Hospital in Wichita where she had heart surgery.

Dinner guests of Ransom and Lillian Wiebe April 17 were Ron and Lydia Toews and Harley of Heart Valley, Alberta; Wayne and Loralee Wiebe and family; Mitchell and Carol Unruh and family; John Steiner; and Kendall and Susie Wiebe and Abigail. The Toewses are parents of Carol and Loralee.

Ron and Dora Unruh hosted a pre-Easter dinner for their family April 17 at their home. Guests included Jim and Brenda Enns; Lon and Deb Hiebert and Matt; Mark and Barb Unruh and Sarah; Warren and Anita Unruh, Nathan, Kyle, and Jenna; David and Ashley Enns and family; Katelin Unruh and friend Josh of Manhattan; Darren Enns; and Corin Neufeld of Tabor College.

Leonard and Dianne Peachy hosted a fundraiser supper for the school April 14 at their home. Those attending were Sarah Peachy, Beth Koehn, Charla Nightingale, Chelisa Koehn, Warren and Jane Unruh, and Chet and Melissa Boehs and daughter.

Rick and LaVea Koehn were dinner guests April 10 of Roy and Nadine Davis. They celebrated Rick’s and foster child Ryan’s birthdays.

Verna Smith of Hutchinson hosted a dinner April 17 at her home. Those attending from the area were Bruce and Cheryl Dirks and Heath, Rustin and Lydia Dirks and Chaniel, and Marlin and Bethany Wiebe. They celebrated those with spring birthdays.

Bruce and Cheryl Dirks have been spending a lot of time visiting Melvin Dirks at a hospital in Moundridge. Melvin recently had a heart attack but is now back at Moundridge Manor.

After church services April 17, guests for refreshments at the home of Jarold and Rhonda Koehn were Ron and Lydia Toews, Mitchell and Carol Unruh and family, Wayne and Loralee Wiebe and family, and Larry and Wanda Koehn.
