Wedels have belated Mother’s Day celebration

The Harry Wedel family had a belated Mother’s Day dinner at the home of Kelly and Karleen Koehn on May 22 in Galva.
Supper guests of Darrel and Donita Rhodes on May 29 were Scott and Tami Koehn, Riley, and Karsten and Chris and Stephanie Becker, Regan, Shayla, and Jace.
Wanda Koehn, Lorna Wiebe and Micah, and Dianne Unruh of Canton left May 23 for the Orville, Ohio, area were Denise (Koehn) and Christopher Schrock live. They attended a layette shower for Denise on May 24. They returned home May 27 and brought Eileen Davis back with them. Eileen had spent the past three months working at a greenhouse that the Schrocks operate.
Greg and Charlene Wedel and family had dinner May 29 with Wendell and Linda Wedel.
Dinner guests of Larry and Wanda Koehn on May 29 were Larry’s brother and sister-in-law, Gerald and Marge Koehn of Georgia; Clayton and Betty Wiebe; Chet and Melissa Boehs and daughter; and Chet’s mother, Ruth Boehs of Georgia, who is visiting.
Joining Roy and Nadine Davis and Eileen for dinner May 29 was Calla Wengar of Dalhart, Texas.
Durham Senior Citizens met May 25 at the community building for a potluck supper. Thirty attended with Richard and Kathy Dirks hosting. Richard Dirks, Tim Denier, DeLayne Herbel, and Julie Jantz gave an instrumental and vocal program to the seniors.
A fundraiser supper for the Cottonwood Grove School was May 29 at the home of Warren and Jane Unruh in Lehigh. Guests included Ransom and Lillian Wiebe, Jeff and Monica Ratzlaff and girls, Ken and Sandy Wiebe, Harry and Lela Wedel, Merlin and Karletta Wiebe and Janesa, Larry and Wanda Koehn and Titus, Tim Davis, and Roy and Nadine Davis.
Bruce and Cheryl Dirks attended the May 27 and 28 Harvey and Elzabeth Yost reunion near Hesston.
Overnight guests of Ransom and Lillian Wiebe on May 29 were their granddaughter Kristi Koehn and friend Bev Smith of Chickasaw, Okla. Kristi was going home to California for the summer after teaching in Texline, Texas.
Ransom and Lillian Wiebe hosted a hamburger fry May 30 at their home. Guests included Merlin and Karletta Wiebe; Mark and Kris Wiebe and family including Lance, who spent the last six months doing community service in Oregon; Jason and Sheri Wiebe and family; Anthony and Beth Wiebe and Tylan; Kendall and Susie Wiebe and Abigail; and John Steiner.
