Eileen Davis went to Cantrell, Iowa June 24 through 26 to visit her sister Rhonda and Hiram Wedel.
The evening of June 30 Wayne and Loralee Wiebe prepared a Bangladeshi meal for their invited guests. They were Clayton and Betty Wiebe, Leonard and Dianne Peachy, and Doyle and Kara Wiebe and family.
Warren and Anita Unruh, Mark and Barb Unruh, and Lon and Deb Hiebert hosted a luncheon and Home and Handyman shower July 3 for Darren Enns and Corina Neufeld at the Trinity Church fellowship hall. Guests were the Unruh and Enns families.
Clayton and Betty Wiebe visited Duane Ratzlaff July 3 at Parkside Homes. Duane’s birthday was Sunday. Louise Ratzlaff has been ill and Duane hopes to come home soon.
Roy and Nadine Davis hosted a dinner July 3. They invited Ken and Sandy Wiebe, Teresa Wiebe, Doug and Starla Koehn, Crystal Royer, and Leonard and Dianne Peachy.
The Senior Citizens met June 29 for a potluck supper at the Durham Community Building; 22 people attended the meeting. Shirley Flaming played the piano and read poems for the program.
Bruce and Cheryl Dirks went to Texahoma, Texas, on July 3 for the wedding reception for Angela Friesen and Vance Koehn. Angela is the daughter of Cheryl’s cousin.
Mark and Kris Wiebe and family spent the weekend of July 3 in Chickasha, Okla., and attended a wedding reception Sunday for Joni and Jasper Zeiset.
The annual breakfast for the Unruh grandchildren and great-grandchildren was held July 2 at a local restaurant. Dora Unruh enjoyed having all the grandchildren and great-grandchildren present — an exception was Lisa Enns.

A rain shower June 20 had varying amount from a quarter to three-quarters of an inch.
Friends and relatives from this community were in attendance at the memorial service June 22 for Joan Donahue at Eastmoor United Methodist Church in Marion.
Overnight guests at the Ransom Wiebe home June 23 were Jasper and Joni Zeiset. On June 24, they left for Chickasaw, Okla. where they will live.
Richard and Kathy Dirks went to visit Jim Donahue June 25 at Parkside Homes.
Barb Unruh’s sister, Shirley, and Gary Eichleberger of Buhl, Idaho stopped for a very brief visit June 24.
The Isaac Dirks family reunion was hosted June 26 by the Dale and Irene Rhodes family at Sugar Creek School near Galva. Many relatives attended.
Clayton and Betty Wiebe invited Bruce and Cheryl Dirks, Ken and Sandy Wiebe, their friends Warren and Joyce Wiggers, and Dave and Carolyn Yost from Hesston to be their dinner guests June 26.
Hiram and Diana Finney, with their children, from Twin Falls, Idaho and a niece of Barb Unruh brought pizza June 24 out to the field to enjoy with the Unruh harvest crew as they were cutting wheat.
This way they could visit some with the Mark Unruh family and others.
