Cottonwood Grove Christian School began Monday with 22 students. Teachers will be Charla Nightingale, first and second grades; Chelsea Koehn, third, fourth, and fifth; and Kalynda Koehn, sixth, seventh, and eighth. Jackie Wiebe will be the special education teacher.
Visitors in the Ron Unruh home the afternoon of Aug. 11 were Jerald Unruh and his nephew Alex DeWitt from Texas. He spends from March to September in the states taking care of his bees. He spends the rest of the year in South Africa where he has another bee farm.
Barb Unruh accompanied her nephew Chad Stutzman and Bradon to Twin Falls, Id., Aug. 11 where they attended the wedding of Barb’s niece Rebecca Stutzman on Aug. 13. They returned home Aug. 14.
Aug. 7 supper guests at the home of Larry and Wanda Koehn were Mark, Kris, Luke, and Kayla Wiebe, Bruce and Cheryl Dirks, Carlyn and Jackie Wiebe, Marcel and Wendy Unruh and family, and Dalton and Lorna Wiebe and family.
Newt, Maria, and Gavin Jantz visited in the home of Wendell and Linda Wedel and with other relatives from July 26 to Aug. 4 when they returned to their home in California.
Richard, Jolene, and Kamilla Koehn of Carson City, Mich., were Aug. 11 supper and overnight guests in the home of Larry and Wanda Koehn. Additional supper guests were Lena Koehn of Newton and Dalton and Lorna Wiebe and family.
Wendell and Linda Wedel went to Moundridge Manor and took her mother, Naomi Mayeskea, to Peck Park where they enjoyed a picnic dinner. Others there were Bev Mayeskea and Allen and Ann Mayeskea of Newton and Ron and Margaret Jantz of Burns.
Having dinner with their parents, Larry and Wanda Koehn, on Aug. 14 were Travis and Sharon Koehn and family and Dalton and Lorna Wiebe and family.
Jaraine Redger went to Newton the afternoon of Aug. 14 for a layette shower for her great-grandson, son of Daniel Stanford.
