Those who were guests in the home of Ransom and Lillian Wiebe April 18 were Roy and Nadine Davis and Eileen, Clayton and Betty Rose Wiebe, Tim Davis, and Terry and Barb Hiebert and family.

Many residents remember longtime resident Dean Bartel, 81, of Olathe who died April 15. Memorial services were April 20 at First Baptist Church in Durham. Burial was in Durham Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Juanita, and daughters Deana, Bonnie, and Karla. Ann Bartel and her family attended services.

Merlin and Karletta Wiebe hosted dinner in their home April 18 with guests Darrel and Donita Rhodes, Harlan and Sherry Koehn and Mark, Leonard and Dianne Peachy, and Darrin and Meri Kay Rhodes and family.

The Ron Unruhs hosted a late Easter basket dinner for the Duerksen family April 18 at Durham Community Center. Guests were Milt and Alice Duerksen; Eulalia Schroeder; Marvin and Rosalie Duerksen and Sandy; Carol Duerksen; Brendan and Susan Nafziger, Brooke, and Colby; Jim and Brenda Enns; Lon and Deb Hiebert and Matt; Mark and Barb Unruh and Katelin; Warren and Anita Unruh, Nathan, and Jenna; Darren Enns; and Corine Neufeld.

Dinner guests April 18 in the home of Stuart and Lea Isaac were Wendell and Linda Wedel, Nelson and Bev Wiebe and family, Irvin Isaac, and Henry Redger.

The Warren Unruh family and Dora Unruh attended the musical program, “A Kid’s Life,” April 20 at Hillsboro Elementary School, which was presented by the fifth-grade class. Kyle Unruh was in the program.
