Wayne and Loralee Wiebe and their three sons returned home April 29 after spending three years doing mission work in Ghana, Africa. Relatives and friends prepared the Wiebe’s home for their return. Marcel and Wendy Unruh prepared supper for them at their home.
Several school benefit suppers were held. Ransom and Lillian Wiebe hosted a dinner April 27 with Calvin and Janene Wiebe and family, Stuart and Lea Isaac and Kyle, Richard and Charlotte Wiebe, Dalton and Lorna Wiebe and family, and Dale and Kathy Jantz in attendance. Ruston and Lydia Dirks also hosted a supper April 29 and their guests were Ransom and Lillian Wiebe, Doyle and Kara Wiebe and family, and Mark and Kris Wiebe, Karalee, Kayla, and Luke.
Ron and Dora Unruh attended a Tabor College band program April 25 at Hillsboro. Their grandson, Darren Enns, performed as a member of the trombone ensemble.
Ransom and Lillian Wiebe hosted a dinner in their home April 25 with guests Wendell and Linda Wedel, Tim and Shelia Koehn and family, and Marcel and Wendy Unruh and family.
Clayton and Betty Wiebe’s family gathered April 25 for dinner. They were the Nelson Wiebe family, Wayne Wiebe family, Travis Koehn family, and Calvin Wiebe family.
The Cottonwood School will have its closing program at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the school. There was a play day and basket dinner Saturday. This year’s eighth-graders are Mishayla Wiebe, daughter of Doyle and Kara, and Kayla Wiebe, daughter of Mark and Kris.
Bruce and Cheryl Dirks’ dinner guests April 25 were Richard and Debbie Becker, Orville and Hope Becker of Halstead, Kermit and Kathryn Unruh and Charlene Becker of Galva, Melvin and Vera Dirks, and Carol Ann Unruh of Moundridge.
