Morning Star Church has had Bible school since May 17 and closed this past week. A program was held Thursday evening.
Dinner guests of Clayton and Betty Wiebe on May 23 were the Wayne Wiebe family.
Richard and Katy Dirks were omitted from the list of those who attended Hillsboro High School graduation May 16. Their granddaughter, Candace Weinbrenner, graduated and had a reception following the ceremony.
Roy and Nadine Davis invited Ransom and Lillian Wiebe, Larry and Wanda Koehn and Titus, Cheryl Dirks and Heath, John and Ethel Steiner, Tim Davis, and Dale Jantz to their home.
Ron and Dora Unruh; Mark and Barb Unruh, Katelin, and Sarah; and Warren and Anita Unruh, Nathan, Kyle, and Jenna attended worship services May 23 at Grace Hill Mennonite Church. Baptismal services were held and the Unruhs’ grandson, Matt Hiebert, was among those baptized. Later, the Ron and Mark Unruh families were dinner guests with other relatives at the home of Lon and Deb Hiebert.
Moring Star Church had a farewell basket supper May 23 in honor of Tim and Shelia Koehn and family who will be leaving in June for Zimbabwe, Africa for mission service.
Richard and Kathy Dirks attended a promotion program May 24 at Hillsboro Middle School. Their grandson, Brett Weinbrenner, was one of the eighth-grade graduates. Warren and Anita Unruh and family also attended since their nephew, Christian Ratzlaff, was in the class.
Going to the park in Abilene May 22 were Wendell and Linda Wedel, Greg and Charlene Wedel and family, Dale and Kathy Jantz, and Troy and Marla Wiebe and family. The children played a while after they ate supper. It was in honor of Caden Wedel’s sixth birthday.
