Lola Redger, accompanied by her daughter, Lisa, went to Oklahoma the weekend of Sept. 17 and 18. They attended the Nightingale gathering of about 43 people. It was held at Camp Y-Shua in the Wichita Mountains area near Lawton. They returned on the evening of Sept. 18.
Guests in the home of Jarold and Rhonda Koehn on Sept. 25 for dinner were Ransom and Lillian Wiebe, Marlin and Bethany Wiebe, and Nelson and Bev Wiebe and family.
On Sept. 20, Wanda Koehn and Betty Wiebe went to join a group that sang “Songs of Yesteryear” for the residents at Moundridge Manor.
The Duerksen family hosted the Regier family reunion on Sept. 25 at the Heritage Park shelter house in Hesston. Attending from the Durham area were Ron and Dora Unruh, Mark and Barb Unruh, and Sarah Unruh of Hesston College. The event is held each year and there were 43 in attendance.
Clayton and Betty Wiebe met her brother, Pete, and Joyce Koehn of Michigan on Sept. 21 at a cafe in Durham for dinner.
Eating dinner Sept. 25 in the Clayton Wiebe home were Warren and Jane Unruh, Dale and Kathy Jantz, Kendall and Susie Wiebe and Abigail, Dalton and Lorna Wiebe and boys, John Steiner, and Tim Davis.
Rose Marie Redger died Sept. 22 at Little Rock, Ark. Memorial services were held Sept. 26. She was the sister-in-law of Gene and Jaraine Redger. Gene, Jaraine, Vicky, and Treva left Sept. 24 for Little Rock and Perry and Rick arrived on Sept. 24. All returned home late on Sept. 26.
Bruce and Cheryl Dirks, Marlin and Bethany Wiebe, and Ruston and Lydia Dirks and family joined the rest of the Dirks family Sept. 26 at the home of Chris and Jody Ratzlaff near Galva for an outdoor potluck supper. On the way there, Bruce and Cheryl stopped at Mercy Hospital to visit Carol Unruh.
