The youth of Morning Star Church provided a benefit supper and singing for the community Oct. 27.

Supper guests of Roy and Nadine Davis on Oct. 30 were Wayne and Lora Lee Wiebe, Ken and Shelly Geisbrecht and Taylor, Troy and Marla Wiebe and family, and Tim Davis.

On Oct. 28 Merlin and Karletta Wiebe hosted a birthday supper for their grandson, Tylan. Guests were Anthony and Beth Wiebe, and Kendall and Susie Wiebe and Abigail.

Mark and Barb Stutzman hosted Teal Stutzman of Hutchinson and Sarah Unruh of Hesston for supper on Oct. 28.

Attending the Roxbury supper and benefit auction on Oct. 26 were Lola Redger, Verla Redger, Joan Harmon, Joyce Medley, Ann Bartel, and Dallas and Kate Redger.

Lola Redger hosted family members on Oct. 30 for supper to celebrate her granddaughter, Tressa Redger’s birthday. Guests were Lisa Redger, Kyle Redger, and Ray Redger.

Ransom and Lillian Wiebe hosted a school fundraiser supper on Oct. 26. Their guests were Calvin and Janene Wiebe and family, Travis and Sharon Koehn and family, Ken and Shelli Geisbrect, and Taylor and Melvin Jantzen of Hillsboro.

On Oct. 27, Dora Unruh visited Marcella Unruh at Eagle Crest Homes in Salina.

Clayton and Betty Wiebe held a ticket supper to benefit Cottonwood Grove School on Oct. 25. Guests were Ransom and Lillian Wiebe, Quinton and Dianne Unruh and Jesse, Harry and Sheryl Rhodes, Warren and Jane Unruh, and Scott and Tammie Koehn and family.

The Cottonwood Grove Christian School hosted a Poem Fest on Oct 20 in the shed at the Ransom Wiebe farm. There was a good turnout of parents and patrons to hear poems presented by the schoolchildren.

Titus Koehn returned home Oct. 21 after spending two weeks visiting his brother, Tim and Sheila Koehn and family, in Zimbabwe, Africa.

Guests of the Clayton Wiebes for supper Oct. 17 were Nelson and Bev Wiebe and family, Travis and Sharon Koehn and family, Wayne and Loralee Wiebe and family, and Calvin and Janene Wiebe and family. They celebrated the third birthday of Caleb Wiebe, Shayln Koehn’s 13th birthday, and birthdays for Sharon Koehn, and Bev Wiebe.

Lola Redgers recent birthday was honored when her daughter Lisa took her out for dinner.

Ransom and Lillian Wiebe, Ken and Sandy Wiebe, and Phil and Carol Classen Vanderhoff of British Columbia had breakfast Oct. 21.

The wedding reception for Heath and Tanis Dirks, who were married July 24 in Canada, was held at Morning Star Church on Oct 23. They are making their home in Durham.

Alan and Heather Martin and family of Shippensburg, Pa., and Lavern and Lisa Litwiller and family of Murray, Ky., came for their brother’s reception. They were houseguests of their parents, Bruce and Cheryl Dirks. Additional dinner guests Oct. 23 were Marlin and Bethany Wiebe, Ruston and Lydia Dirks and family, Heath and Tanis Dirks, Charla Nightingale, and Marci Salsbury. The Litwiller family returned home Oct. 24, while the Martin family stayed about a week before returning home.

Lola Redger was a guest of Verla Redger for the Senior Citizens Older Workers recognition dinner Oct. 20 in Marion. Verla was one of the honorees.

Bruce and Cheryl Dirks, Allen and Heather Martin and family, Marlin and Bethany Wiebe, Ruston and Lydia Dirks and family, Heath and Tannis Dirks, and Charlene Becker were Oct. 24 supper guests of Jarold and Rhonda Koehn.
