Gene and Jaraine Redger attended Newton High School’s graduation May 19. Their youngest of 18 grandchildren was one of the graduates. Jed, son of Rick Redgers, graduated. They also attended a reception for him that afternoon.
Ken and Sandy Wiebe left on May 18 for the eighth-grade graduation of their grandson, Dustin Wiebe, in Texahoma, Texas. He is the son of Arden and Judy Wiebe. They returned home May 20.
The funeral of Shirley Ediger, 77, was May 16 at Bethel Mennonite Church near Inman. Ron and Dora Unruh, Mark and Barb Unruh and Katelin, Warren Unruh, Brenda Enns, and Deb Hiebert attended the funeral. Shirley was Dora’s cousin and family friend. She died unexpectedly May 13.
Cottonwood Grove Christian School had its closing program May 17. Tonya Wiebe, daughter of Doyle and Kara Wiebe, was the eighth-grade graduate. The program was in the new gymnasium, which is nearly complete.
Ransom and Lillian Wiebe, Kendall and Susie Wiebe and Abigail, Harry and Lela Wedel, and Anthony and Beth Wiebe and family were supper guests of Merlin and Karletta Wiebe on May 18. They celebrated Beth’s recent birthday.
Bruce and Cheryl Dirks left May 17 for Murray, Ky., to visit the Lavern and Lisa Litwiller family. While there, they attended the program at the school, and Jarred Litwiller, their grandson, was one of the eighth graders graduating.
Ron and Dora Unruh attended baccalaureate services and commencement May 20 for Peabody-Burns High School in the PBHS gymnasium. Their grandson, Matt Hiebert, was one of the graduates. Also attending commencement were Mark and Barb Unruh and Katelin, and Warren and Anita Unruh, Nathan, Kyle, and Jenna. All went to the home of Lon and Deb Hiebert for a reception in Matt’s honor afterward.
Mark and Barb Unruh and Katelin attended the wedding of Carson Stutzman on May 19 in Wichita.
Ransom and Lillian Wiebe visited Jim Donahue at Parkside Homes in Hillsboro and Vera Dirks at Bethesda Home in Goessel on May 20.
