Clayton and Betty Wiebe joined the rest of the board and employees of Moundridge Manor for a picnic May 25 at King Memorial Park in Hesston. It was an employee appreciation supper. The employees passed state inspections with flying colors.

Ransom and Lillian Wiebe welcomed Roy and Nadine Davis, Eileen Marcello, Wendy Unruh and family, and Byron and Rebecca Thomas and children as dinner guests May 27.

The Harry and Sheryl Rhodes family had an evening picnic on Memorial Day. Ruston and Lydia Dirks and family were guests.

Larry and Wanda Unruh went to visit their daughter, Amy Koehn, on May 24 in Brooksville, Miss. They returned on May 29.

Many people were busy attending two auctions at Durham and one at Hillsboro on May 26. Church groups also served at the sales: the Morning Star Ladies at the Krutz sale and Alexanderfeld ladies at the Jerald Unruh sale.

Many people started wheat harvest on May 28. Having seen many harvests, Dora Unruh doesn’t remember any starting in May.
