The biggest news of the area was the snowstorm March 27-28. This was more than countywide with some having ice first before the snow. After the snow and wind quit March 28, everyone got busy and dug out. At least it wasn’t as cold as it could have been in January and was easier to manage.

Ken and Sandy Wiebe, who are doing voluntary service in Sarasota, Fla., were here, visiting for about two weeks. They return home to Florida Monday. A basket dinner was held Sunday at the school to honor the Isaac Wiebe family.

Ransom and Lillian Wiebe went to Moundridge Manor Thursday evening to hear singing, enjoy refreshments, and visited with Helen Wiebe.

Harry and Sheryl Rhodes invited Jason and Sheri Wiebe and family, her parents, Melvin and Elvera Penner of Rosenort, Manitoba, who have been visiting here, and Harry and Lela Wedel Wednesday for supper.

Supper guests of Harry and Sheryle Rhodes Thursday were Ken and Sandy Wiebe and Doyle and Kara Wiebe and family.

Ransom and Lillian Wiebe, Melvin and Elvera Penner, and the Jason Wiebe family had dinner Tuesday at the café in Durham. That afternoon, the Penners and Shannon Wiebe visited in the home of Ransom Wiebe.

Senior citizens met Wednesday at the community building for their monthly basket dinner. About 25 people attended. For entertainment, each told about a trip they had taken, which was enjoyed by all. Lola Redger and Jaraine Redger were hostesses.

Clayton and Betty Wiebe, Richard and Charlotte Wiebe, and Ken and Sandy Wiebe were supper guests Wednesday in the Ransom Wiebe home.

Roy and Nadine Davis hosted a fundraiser supper Sunday evening for the school at their home. Guests were Harry and Sheryle Rhodes, Warren and Jane Unruh, Ransom and Lillian Wiebe, Bruce and Cheryl Dirks and Heath, Richard and Charlotte Wiebe, and Arlyn, and Leonard Eicher.

Ransom and Lillian Wiebe visited Helen Wiebe Thursday evening at Moundridge. They enjoyed a musical program and refreshments with residents.

Guests for supper in the Roy Davis home were Katie Stutzman and Sarah Peachy.
