There was quite a bit of rain Thursday evening, about 1.75 inches. Easter was rainy and quite cool. There is an old saying — if it rains on Easter Sunday, we will have seven more Sundays of rain. We’ll wait and see.
Members of the Ron Unruh family had their Easter dinner Saturday evening at the Unruh home. In attendance were Jim and Brenda Enns and Darren, Mark and Barb Unruh, Katelin and Sarah, Lon and Deb Hiebert and Matt, Warren and Anita Unruh, Nathan, Kyle and Jenna, and David and Ashley Enns and family. Before they had their dinner, everyone went outdoors to have the annual Easter egg hunt, which was possible as we had sunshine. We also talked with Lisa Enns in Seattle, Wash., by phone as she was celebrating her birthday Saturday and was not able to be with us.
Rhonda Davis came home from Bloomfield, Iowa, Thursday and stayed through Tuesday with her parents, Roy and Nadine and Eileen.
Guests for dinner Sunday at the Clayton Wiebe home were Travis and Sharon Koehn and family and Irvin Isaac.
Richard and Kathy Dirks were Sunday dinner guests of Don and Joyce Weinbrenner. Others enjoying dinner were Doug and Colleen Weinbrenner and family, Tyler and friend, Sheri Mount, Alan and Tami Weinbrenner and family, Byron and Aimee Weinbrenner and family, both of McPherson, and Dennis and Lori Funk.
Enjoying Sunday dinner at the Richard Wiebe home were Roy and Nadine Davis, Rhonda and Eileen, Doyle and Kara Wiebe and family, Tim Koehn, and Titus Koehn. Larry and Wanda Koehn and Shelia Koehn and children left Friday for Canada. Larry and Wanda went to visit their daughter, Sara, and husband Tom Penner, at Swan River, Manitoba, and Shelia went to visit her parents, the Winston Penners, at Greenland. The Koehns got acquainted with their new granddaughter.
Richard and Kathy Dirks had supper Wednesday evening with Shon and Kim Buster and family at a Hillsboro restaurant.
Mike and Mich Rhodes and family of Bradley, Ark., arrived Friday to spend time with their parents, Harry and Sheryle Rhodes. They left for home Tuesday morning. On Sunday, the Calvin Wiebe family, Darrin Rhodes family, and Ken Giesbrecht family joined them for dinner.
Easter dinner guests of Harry and Lela Rhodes were Merlin and Karletta Wiebe and Janessa, Anthony and Beth Wiebe and Tylan, Jana Wiebe, Sarah Peachy, Katie Stutzman, and Beth Koehn.
Ransom and Lillian Wiebe left Saturday morning for Bloomfield, Iowa, to stay until Tuesday at the home of Justin and Rebecca Wiebe and family. They visited with Helen Wiebe Thursday evening at the Manor in Moundridge.
